Course Description

The focus of this one (1) hour gastrointestinal anatomy and physiology course is to teach you about the structures and functions of the gastrointestinal system and its accessory organs. The anatomical structures of the gastrointestinal system work together to achieve three major goals. These goals are to digest, transport, and absorb nutrients. Understanding the fundamental structures and functions of the gastrointestinal system and its accessory organs will allow you to provide care for all patients and intervene effectively for those with alterations in gastrointestinal status.
