Travel Nursing In Six Easy Steps
By partnering with six of the best travel nursing companies—American Mobile Healthcare, Medical Express, Nurses Rx, Preferred Healthcare, O'Grady Peyton and our newest travel staffing partner, *NurseChoice—RN.com makes it easy for you to get started in the exciting world of travel nursing. In just a few simple steps you could be on your way to a rewarding travel career and a world of new opportunities.

1.  Apply
By completing one application you can apply to any or all of RN.com’s travel partner companies with just one click of your mouse. Submitting an application does not obligate you to travel, but it does open the doors to many choices and potential opportunities.

2.  Talk to a recruiter
Once your application is accepted by a travel nursing company, you will be assigned a personal recruiter who will be your main point of contact at the company. Your recruiter will work with you and for you to help make your travel nursing career as rewarding and satisfying as possible. Ask yourself, "What is most important to me?" Top compensation? Building my résumé? Improving my clinical skills? Exploring a new region? The more your recruiter knows about you and what you want, the easier it will be to find an assignment that matches your needs.

3.  Select a destination
Are you drawn to a bustling metropolis or a quiet town? The mountains or the beaches? The East Coast or the West? Do you want to stay close to home or travel a thousand miles away? Based on the destination you choose, you and your recruiter will discuss the advantages of each assignment in your selected region, compare what each has to offer and determine which one is best suited to your needs.

4.  Telephone interview with the facility
If your skills and experience match the requirements of an open position, and you’re interested in the assignment, the staffing manager from that particular unit will contact you for a telephone interview. Your recruiter will help you prepare for the interview, giving you the best opportunity to land the job.

5.  Accept the assignment
Congratulations, you've chosen your assignment! Now your travel nursing company will help you with your credentialing requirements and the licensure process in your assignment state. Free deluxe housing will be pre-arranged and even your utilities and furniture delivery will be coordinated by the travel nursing company.

6.  Your adventure begins!
Your recruiter will provide you with driving directions to your new home and the facility where you will be working. After you arrive, your recruiter will keep in touch with you on a regular basis to make sure you are settled in and comfortable in your new environment.

*NurseChoice offers top pay, flexible assignments and comprehensive benefits.
